About BalletBody

Created by professional Ballerinas, BalletBody is a unique Ballet based workout designed for all fitness levels.  Following the structure of a traditional Classical Ballet class, reconnect with your body and  build strength and flexibility whilst developing the long lean muscles of a dancer.

Train Like Dancers by Dancers

BalletBody was created by two former professional ballet dancers, Alison Carroll and Lisha Chin. Both spent many years performing with the Singapore Dance Theatre and have now transformed their passion for ballet and teaching into a workout that is accessible to everyone.

Ally Bio

Alison Carroll

Co-Founder / Lead Instructor

Classically trained, Ally has been dancing since the age of 4 in the U.K, New Zealand and Singapore. She is a National Arts Council scholar and started early training at the Singapore Ballet Academy before joining the New Zealand School of Dance in 2007. Upon graduation, Ally joined the Singapore Dance Theatre where she spent 8 years with them dancing professionally. Ally is a certified Pilates Instructor and has experience in teaching group fitness/ballet classes as well as young kids!


Lisha Chin

Co-Founder / Lead Instructor

Lisha started dancing at the age of 3, going on to  train at the Royal Ballet School and Central School of Ballet in London.  Graduating with a BA (Honours) in Professional Dance and Performance, she returned to Singapore to perform with Singapore Dance Theatre for 6 years. Since leaving the Singapore Dance Theatre, Lisha has gained experience teaching ballet and group fitness further becoming a certified instructor in STOTT Mat and Reformer Pilates.

Do I need any dance/ballet background?

No dance experience is necessary to join a Balletbody class, they are suitable for all fitness levels! 

What should I wear?

Your normal work out gear plus socks or ballet flats if you prefer!

Can guys do a Balletbody workout?

Of course! Our classes are suitable for anyone looking to develop their strength, flexibility and coordination. 

Cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is 12 hours prior to the class start time.
